MOSIAH 27 & 28

Alma taught us the steps we need to take to repent:
(1) Each of us has need to repent (Mosiah 27:11-17)
(2) We must recognize what is wrong (Alma 36:12-13)
(3) We must feel godly sorrow (Mosiah 27:28 and Alma 36:12-17)
(4) We must confess our sins (Mosiah 27:35)
(5) We must forsake our sins (Alma 36:23-25)
(6) We must make restitution where possible (Mosiah 27:35)
(7) Great blessings follow repentance (Mosiah 27:29-31 and Alma 36:19-21)
Following these principles of repentance does not bring forgiveness automatically but puts a person in a position to obtain forgiveness from the Lord.

We also talked about the sons of Mosiah desiring to serve a mission to the Lamanites.

DINNER CONVERSATION: Why do you think the sons of Mosiah wanted to serve a mission? Their dad was the king...what might they be sacrificing to serve a mission?
